BUILDING GUIDE

Access Control

Special Keying
All keys for this property are keyed to a Building Master key system so that building staff has access to all areas in the event of any emergency. Additional keys may be obtained through the Property Management office for a fee.

Lock Outs
In the event a tenant forgets a key or locks themselves out of the office, the Property Management Team must be notified. Access will only be granted once the person who signed the lease or the assigned Tenant Contact has been reached and approval given.

Private Alarm Systems
If your organization has installed a private alarm system in your leased space, you are required to register that system with the local Police Department as soon as possible. Please check with your alarm company to make sure they have registered your system with the Police.

Building Access Control
IMPORTANT: DO NOT LET ANY UNKNOWN INDIVIDUALS ENTER THE BUILDING WITH YOU.

Building Perimeter Intrusion
This system monitors "after-hours" entry into the buildings at certain locations, allowing only tenants and authorized guests entry into the building during the time when the alarm is activated. The computerized system will list, on request, the names of persons who have used an authorized coded key to gain access to the building. Each tenant is issued a certain number of electronically coded access cards or key fobs. Designated telephones are located adjacent to card readers to permit communication with the central monitoring center. Authorized guests use this telephone to gain entry and to access a building elevator after normal business hours.

Access Cards
To enter the building after hours, a key card is needed.  Tenants should be careful to issue access cards only to those employees they want to have complete access to the building. If you need additional cards, please contact the access control system provider.

Maintain a list of employee access cards/key fob numbers and audit it once a quarter to ensure that none have been lost or stolen. Notify Datawatch whenever an employee leaves your organization. As an additional precaution we recommend you review your list of employees with access privileges once each quarter and cross check it with a list provided by the access control system provider to ensure that each set of records is current. Contact the access control system provider to get a copy of their list.

Utility Closet Access
Contact the Property Management office in order to obtain access to Utility Closets should a contracted vendor performing repairs or maintenance for your suite need it.

Lost or Stolen Cards/Key Fobs
In the event one of your employees loses an access key card or has one stolen, report it immediately to access control system provider. They will remove the key card's access code from the system and make the necessary arrangements for a replacement. A fee will be charged.
